On May 8th all of the free world is commemorating the victims of The Second World War and celebrating the victory over Nazism. This date has a historical basis. Russia, the heir of USSR has been manipulating this painful topic for decades. It turned this event into the pseudo-victory celebration of May 9th appropriating the victory and diminishing the contribution of other Allied countries. For all the russians this day became the symbol of their modern fascism, an occasion to disseminate historically inaccurate facts and lies. They use this date to threaten the rest of the world with their “we can repeat it” rhetoric. Ukraine is part of the civilized world, and it accentuates the tragedy suffered by the whole world in 1939-1945. Our date is May 8th. We remember. We shall prevail!

Увесь вільний світ вшановує пам’ять жертв Другої світової, а також відзначає перемогу над нацизмом 8 травня. Ця дата є історично обґрунтованою. Спадкоємиця СРСР Росія десятиліттями маніпулює цією болючою темою і влаштовує огидне “пабєдобєсіє” 9 травня, привласнюючи перемогу і применшуючи вклад інших народів. Цей день давно став для росіян символом їхнього сучасного фашизму, приводом для поширення історичної брехні, а також для залякування світу мілітаристською риторикою у стилі “можем павтаріть”. Україна – частина цивілізованого світу, яка акцентує увагу на горі, якого зазнав світ у 1939 – 1945 роках. Наша дата – 8 травня. Пам’ятаємо. Перемагаємо!
