The Kremlin’s propagandists began to “promote” a new narrative targeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and depicting him as a “dictator.” The purpose of this narrative is to create doubt over the legitimacy of Zelensky’s leadership and, consequently, cultivate global mistrust towards the Ukrainian government and diplomacy as a whole.
The timing for this new “operation” is not coincidental. As President Donald Trump claimed that American and Russian officials have engaged in discussions regarding an end to the war, Russia and its minions extended their efforts to improve Russia’s standing and sabotage Ukraine’s fight for independence and freedom. The only “peace” Russia is interested in is the one that fulfills Moscow’s imperialistic ambition, which is once again proven by the launch of yet another disinformation campaign.
