With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the local authorities faced many challenges related to the war. During the last two years, having survived the occupation, constant shelling of the infrastructure and mass migration of the population, most of the Ukrainian regions have found their place in how to help win.
The local authorities are dealing with the consequences of the destruction caused by Russia’s actions, and it is challenging in the frontline communities, which also suffer from artillery shelling. At the same time, it is often necessary to do this in conditions of minimal human and financial resources.
Despite ongoing Russian military aggression and occupation of certain regions, Ukrainian communities have rallied together to support the defence of their nation.
